At the end of August we successfully passed an anti-sweatshop resolution 
to uphold strong labor standards on city contracts.  Thank you for your 
support.  Our work is not over for a fully enforceable sweatshop-free 
policy for our city, but it is important to pause and celebrate our

sweatshops as they embark on a three-year odyssey to win basic labor 
protections from trendy clothing retailer Forever 21. /Made in L.A./ is 
a story about the power of unity, immigration, and the courage it takes 
to find your voice.
