Yes, there is difference between cheap cables and high-quality
cables, because cheap cables are not as good as standard electrical
wire. Although "cheap" speaker cable often costs more.

Well, ignoring that studios generally use active monitors, unless
they were running large PA cabinets, they would probably use speaker
cable that costs less than $2/ft. And the people who do run large PA
systems do not use wire especially designed for speakers. They use
regular elecrical wire such as tray cable.

What's even better, is if you go to the manufacturers website, they
claim that the lacquer finish on the knobs makes a difference in
the sound. According to one of their knob polishers, "The beech wood
is coated several times with C37 lacquer for best sound as pointed
out by Dieter Ennemoser.... With the signature knobs micro vibrations
from the C37 concept of wood, bronze and the lacquer itself
compensate for the volume pots and provide (Good Vibrations) our
ear/brain combination like to hearway better sound!!"
