Are you refering to MEEEEE? by any chance?

I've been listening to this track some more (I only listened to it once
or twice last week and didn't make time to properly comment) - it's a
nice smooth tune - the only critiquey comment I thought of the other day
was that it sounds like it could easily have been put it together with
3rd-party samples either from other tracks or from a rompler/sample
pack, rather than designing most of the sounds from scratch. Maybe I
was right in thinking it sounded a bit preset-ish? It has only a
handful of different sounds, not as many as as are used most fully
finished tracks. It rolls along just fine, and it doesn't get into any
really complex twisted moments (but it could, couldn't it?).

I think most people (certainly I do) want to be told what's wrong with
their own tracks more than what's actually right about it. To be honest
this track just sounds 'just right', a textbook example - I just think
it's not developed enough to keep my attention. I think a mad 'n'
twisted f*ck'ed up break somewhere in the third quarter would be a good
idea (a long 8 or 16 measure one) - the kick/bassline thing goes
on-and-on so to get away from it for a moment would be nice (perhaps
another variation in bassline notation is in order too?). My ears need
entertaining from around this point with some fresh new sounds (of the
more twisted variety), which could start from this point and go on to
the end.

So more bells and whistles please/ear candy (not literally) :)

I must get on with what I was doing - re-inventing the wheel, (making
Kicks in Wavelab)...lol

Olly
