interesting... but we shouldn't ignore the fact that this is a quad core
system with 8 GB of RAM, and raid.  the test machine is a monster.  i'd be
interested in seeing those results on specs closer to mine (dual-core amd,
2 GB ram, 2 X sata-II).  vista *might* only show those performance
improvements once the OS has enough power for its needs... or maybe not!
