nope, the A4k/A5k can definitely take 128 - didn't you read the 300+ page
manual front to back?  what kind of a geek are you?!?

chances are you actually have 68 MB to play with - the store added 64 mb to
the 4 that are built in.  since the machine can only address 128 MB,
putting in 4 X 32 maxes it out and the internal 4 mb aren't used.  

wow, talk about useful knowledge to be able to conjure up at any given
moment... :|

I thought 64Mb was the max?  That's what mine's got, as I asked the shop 
I got it from to fully-stuff it.  I have a SCSI Zip250 drive for it as 
well, rather than an HD.
