Well, ignoring that 8x8x7 would be an extremely poor choice of
dimensions, I'm not sure why anyone would want to do that.  Anyway,
portable vocal booths are not uncommon, and there are portable
set-ups for mixing and monitoring on location such as the Auralex
MAX-Wall, but these are primarily to reduce reflections, not keep
pounding bass from annoying your neighbors.
