[Dream] Recommend Me Some Monitors

I just got the same Macbook Pro a month or so ago. GET THE GLOSSY
SCREEN. I turmoiled for a week before purchasing on whether to get the
matte screen or the glossy screen. Even spent some time in front of
both at the Apple store in my area (which all seem to be insanely
brightly lit). First I bought the matte screen model based on my
previous experience with any laptop having a matte screen and that I
thought a glossy screen would reflect too much light (because of the
insanely brightly lit Apple store). When I got it home, I noticed how
the matte finish on the screen created this annoying sparkling that
distorted pixels and gave a slight iridescent or rainbow effect to white
areas on the screen. It was so distracting that I couldn't concentrate
on what I was working on. After about 8 hours I gave up. I returned
the laptop the next day and gladly paid the $250 restocking fee to get
the glossy screen. I'm happy with it now. It's not nearly as
reflective as I thought it would be.
As for monitors... no comment from me. I'm still using a home stereo
and DJ headphones. Probably want to keep in mind your studio
environment when deciding. How big a room will you be working in? Are
you in an apartment or house? 1st floor or 2nd floor? Do you have to
worry about neighbors?
