Hey Spork,
Here's my 2c...sorry it took me a while, but here goes...
Good start...
Too much reverb on timpanis. Dislike the last dissonant chords, but good
epic build. I would lower the levels on the pads a bit.
Kick needs low end oomph.
0:45 - Good groove. Needs some low end on bass too?
Add some reverb to hats...or add another layer of percussion. Make it
fuller.
1:19 - Good synth work.
1:39 -I recommend bringing the distorted synth a little forward in the mix.
It's too wishy-washy for my taste.
2:09 - Good sample. Bring up and EQ to shave off some low end from it. Maybe
also add some more reverb?
2:42 - Crash too weak. Turn it up!
3:11 - Good sample, again. Where's that one from?
Too much stuff going on...needs some EQing or drop some sounds; make it
cleaner. Are you using a maximizer? That's a nice full sound.
3:35 - Good freight-train energy. Maybe bring up that dist synth that plays
some kind of counter-melody, or push it further back...it's hanging
somewhere in the middle.
4:18 - Good brkdown, although that filtered resonance or whatever on the
bass and drums is getting clichéd.
4:27 - Clean up those timpani drums...maybe they have too much reverb?
4:30 - I like that synth creepinbg up on me :) It's need some tweakiness
(filter or something) added to it.
5:03
5:11 - Add a pause or drop before you kick in again...that will add more
impact.
5:15 - Sounds pretty dope (guys, what's the problem with it sounding like
Astral?). Maybe add variation to the synth...sound, not melody.
Consider a counter-melody...actually forget it...no room for it.
Clean-up and bring forward the dist synth that goes waaah waaah every latter
half of the bar, or just drop it and use another sound because it is making
the mix too muddy.
6:08 - Pads...yay! Nice chords. Pads are too loud, but that is personal
taste. I have starting making my pads more subtle.
I would say pay some attention to the mix and clean-up the sections where
the sound gets too blurry, mainly with those distorted synths.
Hope that helps.
Overall, this is a very good song and has great potential.
I really like the Goa sounding stuff and you may not believe me, but it made
me feel something emotionally, and I am stone cold sober :).
People will go crazy if this song is played at the right place and time, and
for some reason (I don't know why I feel this) I think it will hold interest
even if played multiple times at different parties, unlike a lot of the
newer psy which gets boring after a single play.
FYI, this song reminds me a lot of Ananda Shake.
You should consider submitting it to their label, Utopia records:

Look forward to hearing a new and improved version.
Boom!
Take care,
Ra
